Inspired by the thousand-year kilns of Dehua, Fujian, the Jade Snow Gongfu Tea Set
is sculpted from Blanc de Chine porcelain — known in Chinese as 羊脂白玉 (lard white
jade) for its warm, luminous finish that glows softly in the light.
Hold any piece up to a window. The porcelain is translucent — light passes through
as if through white jade. This is not an effect that can be imitated. It is the
result of Dehua's exceptionally pure kaolin clay, fired above 1,300°C until glaze
and body become one.
Every piece in this 11-piece collection is shaped with quiet intention. The classic
Xishi teapot — its form inspired by the legendary beauty Xi Shi — pours with a
clean, unbroken arc. The six cloud-mountain guest cups are thin-walled, weightless
in the hand.
