Smoge, Zhiyuan, Z.
Smoge creation is the establishment of a "style"—what he calls the "Smoge style." This style is a continuous, flowing, and expansive creative language. While a single cup or pot may hint at it, it is not enough to capture its essence. Using just one piece of Smoge's work is like listening to Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 and stopping after the initial four notes, "Dun dun dun dun." The brilliance of that motif lies in how it is continuously extended, deepened, and reinterpreted in a "Beethoven-esque" manner.
